For over a twenty years, Black & McDonald’s nuclear professionals have successfully delivered nuclear services to projects in this demanding environment.

Black & McDonald strictly follows a nuclear safety culture, including individual and management commitment to safety and management systems that promote accountability, a questioning attitude, communication, conservative decision making, continuous improvement, safe work processes, problem identification and resolution, and an environment for raising concerns. With outstanding safety records, our highly trained and experienced nuclear employees enable nuclear excellence. As a single-source, multi-trade service provider, we bring capability, responsibility, and accountability to our complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions.

We currently partner with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to engineer, procure and construct multi-trade construction projects. We provide maintenance and facility management services for the Darlington Refurbishment, and manage station operations at Pickering Nuclear, Darlington Nuclear, Bruce Power, and the Western Waste Management Facility.

In all these projects, our overriding priority is to ensure we deliver projects without putting the plant, personnel, and public at risk. To accomplish that goal, we capitalize on nearly 100 years of construction experience to finish projects on-time, under budget, and with a focus on safety and quality at every stage of the engagement.
